Croatia: The two-car train will be unveiled at InnoTrans 2024 in Berlin. It has been produced for Croatia’s national passenger operator HŽPP.
Two trains, a BMU and a BEMU, and six energy storage devices were ordered in 2022 for a total value of €17 mln without VAT. More than 70% of the project is financed by the EU under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

Both vehicles are to operate up to 18 hours per day, with a possible daily mileage of 480 km. The train can reach a maximum speed of 160 km/h when powered by 25 kW AC catenary and 120 km/h when using batteries. Each two-car train can accommodate up to 200 passengers.
