Luxembourg: From Sunday, two three-car trains are carrying passengers on a route between the country capital and the commune of Diekirch, with five more to be added by the end of the year.
The rolling stock is produced at a plant in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda, Spain. In 2018, Alstom inked a €400 mln contract with Luxembourg’s national railway operator CFL for 34 of these trains. Deliveries will be completed in 2026.

Each three-car EMU has 334 seats, giving a capacity of 1,000 passengers when running up to three in multiple. With a maximum speed of 200 km/h, the trains have GoA2 features, i.e. semi-automatic operation with a driver on board. The debut of the Alstom Coradia Stream HC took place at InnoTrans 2022 in Berlin.
