Hungary: The exterior and interior renderings of the IC+NEO seating coaches were presented at the Hungarian Railways 360° conference held in Budapest.

In February, the national operator MAV ordered a fleet of 10 such coaches. The manufacturer has already started the production process.

The IC+NEO is an evolution of the IC+ passenger coaches, which have been serially manufactured at MAV’s production capacities since 2017. In comparison with the previous model, the IC+NEO will reportedly get a new interior, more ergonomic seating, an upgraded and energy-efficient climate control system alongside enhanced heat and noise insulation of the body.

The key technical novelties also include an inter-car gangway from German Hubner, a modernised brake monitoring system, and a renewed arrangement for electrical cabinets and a water supply system. The implemented solutions are stated to increase passenger comfort and reduce lifecycle maintenance costs.
