Germany: The first three four-car Class 430 trains were unveiled by DB Regio, the passenger operator.
The vehicles are to be launched on the Stuttgart S-Bahn in February. The EMUs were produced in the 2010s by a consortium of Alstom and Bombardier Transportation.

Started in 2021, the €200 mln programme to refurbish 215 Class 423 and 430 trains is implemented under the Digital Node Stuttgart project. The refurbishment takes place in Alstom’s plants in Hennigsdorf, Germany, and Villeneuve, Switzerland, as well as the DB Regio workshops in Nürnberg and Hagen, and Talbot’s site in Aachen, Germany. The programme is to be finished in 2026.
