Russia: Two five-car trainsets have started operation on the route Yekaterinburg–Druzhinino–Krasnoufimsk. As reported, the rolling stock is scheduled for running every day.
The ES105 EMU was certified for serial production in July, following the approval of an initial batch of 60 units during the acceptance procedure at Ural Locomotives (a subsidiary of Sinara – Transport Machines, STM), the manufacturer of the trains.
The train is based on the Finist platform and can operate on 3 kV DC and 25 kV AC lines. The EMU is equipped with the TADEP315-6U1 traction asynchronous motors from Ruselprom, Russian Electrotechnical Group.

Joining Ural Locomotives’ portfolio, the new rolling stock is intended to replace the dual-system ES1 and ES1P Lastochka EMUs, previously produced in partnership with Siemens Mobility. The ES105 EMU can accommodate 386 passengers seated, while the number of places for people with reduced mobility has increased to four.
