Germany: The lessor in partnership with Talbot Services has refurbished a fleet of 35 trains by Alstom.

The vehicles have been operating on the Bremen S-Bahn, spanning 270 km, in Lower Saxony since 2010. Alpha Trains managed the project as well as developed the refurbishment specifications.

The refurbished trains received renewed seat upholstery, damage-resistant interior trim, and new tables. Areas for bicycles, wheel- and pushchairs were added. Moreover, the fleet has been equipped with passenger information and video surveillance systems, LED lighting, and tinted scratch-resistant films.

The fleet refurbishment contract was inked with the passenger operator NordWestBahn in October 2019. The process began in January 2023 and half a year later, the Talbot plant in Aachen unveiled the first refurbished train.
