Czechia: The trainset of eight Viaggio Comfort coaches has started running between Prague and Bohumín in June.

Due to the delayed delivery of new dining coaches, the train has so far included a one of the older models.

The Siemens Vectron MS locomotive hauls the train at a maximum speed of 200 km/h, although it is designed to operate at a speed of 230 km/h. This year, the Czech operator plans to receive eight more ComfortJet trainsets of eight coaches.

The order was placed in 2021 for 180 Viaggio Comfort coaches from a consortium of Siemens Mobility and Škoda Group. The coaches will be arranged into 20 nine-car trains, comprising 99 first-class and 456 second-class seats. The final train is scheduled for launch in 2026.
