Czech Republic: The certification of the six-car Avelia Stream Nordic (formerly the Zefiro Express) is carried out at the VUZ Test Centre in Velim.
A series of dynamic and static tests will be undertaken to prove the vehicle’s traction parameters, braking effectiveness, electromagnetic compatibility, performance at high speeds and work of safety systems.

The Avelia Stream Nordic is reported to operate at a speed of 250 km/h and at temperatures from –40 °C to +40 °C. With interiors featuring a bistro area and dedicated space for bicycles, each train can accommodate 363 passengers. For their comfort, there are folded tables, footrests, glass holders, power outlets and USB ports at every seat.
In spring 2022, the Swedish passenger operator SJ awarded Alstom an order for 25 high-speed trains with an option for an additional 15 units. The value of the contract is €650 mln, with €312 mln loaned from the European Investment Bank, EIB. The first trains are expected to enter service by 2028 on the routes connecting Sweden, Denmark and Norway.
