Italy: The eight-car train was exhibited at EXPO Ferroviaria in Milan. Compared to EMUs, previously supplied to Trenitalia, the new vehicle can run with a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
The new trainsets are to enter revenue service in Tuscany, Umbria and Lazio beginning in mid-2026. The units are built with a low-floor structure and can accommodate 1,076 people, with 618 seated. The cars are fitted with a new generation of passenger seats and an improved climate control system.

The vehicles integrate a Train Control and Monitoring System, TCMS, with predictive diagnostics, and an automatic fire detection system. The trains are reportedly produced from 96% recyclable components.
In 2016 and 2021, Alstom and Trenitalia signed framework agreements to supply 300 Coradia Stream units. The trains are produced by three Italian facilities in Savigliano, Sesto San Giovanni, and Bologna.
