USA: Alstom has unveiled a full-scale mock-up of the interior layout of its new train for the US state of Connecticut.
The half-car model, on display at New Haven station until 6 January, showcases the proposed seating and tables, toilet facilities, spaces for wheelchairs, pushchairs and bicycles, automatic doors, and luggage racks. Alstom says the final design will be refined based on public feedback gathered from the exhibition.

The contract for 60 Adessia platform cars was awarded by the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) in August 2023, valued at around $315 mln, with an option for an additional 313 cars. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in late 2026.
The coaches will form electric multiple units capable of operating at speeds of up to 177 km/h. Entry into service is planned for 2027 on the Hartford Line between New Haven and Springfield.
