Mexico: The new P’atal version was presented in Cancún, Mexico. The seven-car X’Trapolis trainset is said to accommodate 260 passengers and reach peak speeds of 160 km/h.

Traction is provided by undercar diesel generators, while the vehicle can also be powered by catenary, when the line is electrified. The train has 238 seats, four spaces for passengers with reduced mobility and nine compartments for two with an individual toilet and shower, and a restaurant car.

By the end of the year, Alstom is to finish delivery of all 42 trains, 219 cars, ordered in 2021. There are three versions to be supplied: 31 trainsets with seats (Xiinbal), eight units with seats and a restaurant car (Janal) and three P’atals. The deliveries of Xiinbal started in 2023, and the launch began in December. There are ten trains being in operation as of August.
