Spain: The French manufacturer has published a video featuring the interior and exterior of the future rolling stock.
The EMUs are expected to start operating in 2026 on the line of 22.7 km which is going to connect the centre of Barcelona with both terminals of the international Barcelona-El Prat Airport.
The five-car EMU with 202 fixed and 7 folding seats will accommodate a total of 656 passengers. Each train will include two dedicated spaces for people with reduced mobility, two multifunctional spaces for strollers and bicycles, as well as multiple luggage storage spaces. The Coradia Stream’s maximum design speed will be 120 km/h. Considering what destination the route serves, there will be installed 20 panoramic screens displaying train information and nine screens providing real-time data on flight departures and arrivals.
