Romania: During the tests at the Făurei test site, the six-car trains reached the speeds of up to 160 km/h, according to the manufacturer. The testing of three trains started with the complex tests at the VUZ Velim test centre in Czechia, and now will continue in Romania, where the trains will undergo trial run on several lines.
After completion of the tests and trials, the vehicles will be allowed to carry passengers.

In March 2022, Alstom signed a contract that includes a firm part and an already exercised option for the supply of 37 EMUs to Romania. The contract was originally awarded to a consortium of local Astra Vagoane and CRRC, which had designed the train specifically for the project, but the court eventually awarded the contract to the French manufacturer.
