Russia: Last week, the single-car vehicle was put into pre-operational service without passengers on Route 13.
The 71-619K tram with a special frame attached to the front of the vehicle had previously run the line to check the compliance of the infrastructure with the new rolling stock (pictured in the last photo).
In March, BKM-Sibir, a JV of Belarusian BKM Holding and the Novosibirsk region, won a tender for the refurbishment of 20 trams for Novosibirsk by the end of 2024. The delivery of the tram kits (each comprising of a partially low-floor body with seats, handrails, a traction drive, and wiring) from Belarus commenced in August. The final assembly is conducted at the BKM-Sibir plant in Novosibirsk.
The city trams were formerly overhauled with the 62103 tram kits. The new model, which is one meter longer, features a fourth door and a higher percentage of low-floor space. The tram can accommodate 130 passengers, including 37 seated.
