France: A fleet of ten pods has commenced transporting visitors to the Summer Olympics and Paralympics.
The two km line in Montigny-le-Bretonneux, operated by Keolis, provides connectivity between a car parking and a fan zone. The line has a stated daily capacity of up to 5,000 people, with operations scheduled to continue for 17 months.
The Urbanloop is a rubber-tyred vehicle with a designed speed of 50 km/h, capable of accommodating three people. The pods are equipped with electric motors and supercapacitors, which are powered by the third rail. The project was initiated in 2017, and a redesigned pod was unveiled in 2022.

The same solution will be deployed in another French city, Nancy. Its seven km line for 40 pods is scheduled to be put into full-time service in 2027.
