USA: A fleet of 20 three-car trams has entered revenue service on two lines. The trial is to be finished within two weeks, while currently they will run together with high-floor U2A, supplied by Siemens in the 1980–90s.
The LRVs can accommodate 225 passengers, with 74 of them seated, and reach peak operational speeds of 88 km/h. The manufacturer says the trams have low-level boarding at every doorway and four areas for wheelchairs in each car. The vehicles are assembled at Siemens Mobility’s plant in Sacramento.

The rest eight trams, purchased in 2020 under a firm order, are to be supplied in late 2025, bringing the total number of vehicles on order by the city operator, SacRT, including options, to 45 units. SacRT still has a feasibility to exercise an option for an additional 47 trams.
