Russia: This year’s INNOPROM International Industrial Trade Fair in Yekaterinburg will see the debut of three innovative tram models, highlighting Russia’s ambitions in modern urban mobility.
The event, running from July 7 to 10, is expected to attract over 50,000 visitors from more than 60 countries, offering a unique opportunity to experience the next generation of public transport solutions and high-tech innovations.

PC Transport Systems, a leading Russian manufacturer, will unveil its first five-car 100% low-floor LRV, the 71-952. This 37.5-metre, bi-directional tram accommodates up to 400 passengers, including 72 seated, and is equipped with onboard batteries providing up to 15 km of autonomous operation.

The five-car 71-665 tram from the Ust-Katav Car-Building Plant, Russia’s historic tram builder, will operate on city routes in Ekaterinburg during the trade fair. The four-bogie 71-665 offers a capacity of up to 406 passengers, 72 seated, including two spaces for passengers with reduced mobility.

Sinara – Transport Machines will present its first low-floor, three-car tram, the 71-233, at the entrance to the Yekaterinburg-EXPO centre. This debut model offers a capacity of up to 308 passengers, the highest among three-car LRVs on the Russian market, including 70 seats. It will be available in versions for both 1,524 mm and 1,435 mm gauges.
INNOPROM 2025 will host over 400 exhibitors, with Saudi Arabia as this year’s official partner country. For further details of the trade fair, go to its official website.
