Azerbaijan: The Russian president, Vladimir Putin, has said that a corresponding contract was signed after his meeting with the Azerbaijani president, Ilham Aliyev. According to Russia’s head, the deal was made in February 2024, with no additional details mentioned.

The press service for the Baku Metro has recently confirmed that the TMH plant in Mytishchi will supply 65 cars by late 2026, with 35 of them being delivered by late 2024. The production of the first batch of ten cars, or two trainsets, is being completed.

The previous contract for the supply of 12 trains, comprising 60 cars of series 81–765.B/766.B, to Baku was executed by the TMH plant in Mytishchi in early 2023. The trains for Baku have tailored original colour and graphic layout, a new headlight design, better noise and heat insulation.

Previously in 2018–2019, the plant in Mytishchi supplied Baku with eight metro trains, comprising 40 cars, with more than 380 metro cars produced in total since 1967.
