Russia: The five-car 81-725.3/726.3/727.3 Ermak train was produced at the TMH plant in Mytishchi, with another four vehicles to be delivered by year-end.
The train was manufactured on the same platform as the Baltiets for Saint-Petersburg. It is reported that all key parts and units, including traction motors and drives, brakes, air compressor, doors, yaw dampers, reduction drives are produced in Russia. The interior is fitted with an AC system that provides ventilation and air purification and has seats for disabled persons. The train’s doors boast a 49% zone of visibility.
The contracts to supply five vehicles were inked in 2024. The Novosibirsk metro has ordered two trainsets directly from TMH, with another three on under a finance lease involving Sberbank Leasing. Previously, the head of the Novosibirsk region, Andrei Travnikov, said that all metro trains currently in operation were to be renewed by 2030.
