Germany: The three-car low-floor LRV has been delivered to the city operator RSAG. Soon, the uni-directional tram will undergo pre-operational service, while its commissioning is expected in December. Rostock is going to receive two more trams by the middle of the year.
The 32 m TINA can accommodate 216 passengers, 75 of them seated. The tram is designed to operate at a maximum speed of 80 km/h. The interior features dedicated areas for wheelchairs, bicycles and prams. Additionally, the rolling stock is fitted with an anti-collision system and panoramic windows. The vehicle rests on four bogies, underneath the end cars.
RSAG’s total order from Stadler is 29 TINA trams with an option for a further 12 LRVs. The whole batch is planned to be delivered by mid-2027. The contract is valued at €103 mln. The new trams, which are going to replace the 6N1 vehicles produced between 1994 and 1996, are being manufactured at Stadler’s facilities in Poland.
