Singapore: Two C810D trainsets have entered revenue service on a 10.7 km Sengkang–Punggol line.

The two-car 23.5 m trains can accommodate 210 passengers, 36 of them seated. The vehicles are fitted with IGBT-based propulsion converters and four motors with a unit power of 80 kW.

In 2022–2023, Singapore’s operator SBS Transit ordered 25 Crystal Mover trains under two $400 mln contracts. The order also included signalling systems and a depot’s equipment. The rolling stock production is set in Mihara, the delivery of next 23 units is scheduled gradually by 2028.

The new trains are to replace 25 single-car and eight two-car C810 and C810A vehicles, produced by Mitsubishi in 2000–2003, and operated on two Singapore’s light-rail lines. At the same time, eight two-car C810A trains will still be running.
