Russia: The company has announced that the corresponding agreement was signed with Sberbank Leasing.
These are the single-car low-floor 71-911EM Lvyonok trams which are to be delivered starting from February 2025. 40 vehicles will produced in the first half of the upcoming year, and another 31 trams will be ready till May, 2026. Each Lvyonok can accommodate up to 155 passengers, 34 of them seated.
In its turn, TTU, Samara’s public transport operator for trams and trolleybuses, has recently signed the related leasing contract worth RUB 8.5 bln ($94 mln), including VAT, with Sberbank Leasing. The latter was chosen for its strong business reputation, positive practice in performance of contracts, and the lowest price proposal, according to the information from the website on government procurements.
It was earlier reported about Samara’s plans for the purchase of 30 three-car 71-931M Vityaz-M trams from PC Transport Systems. The manufacturer together with Sberbank Leasing is now fulfilling a contract for the delivery of three such vehicles with the deadline in February, 2025.
