Russia: A fleet of four 71-628-02 low-floor single-car trams has been put into service on an urban route, with one tram reserved. The service will run at 10 and 20 minutes intervals during rush hours.
A total of 47 trams of this model have been delivered under a contract with Movista Regions signed in November 2023. According to Aleksey Zotov, the company’s General Director, the city of Yaroslavl has been delivered 27 trams, with the rest to be delivered by the end of March. The concession project includes the construction of tram tracks, depot, dispatching office and traction stations.
A 71-628-02 tram can carry up to 170 passengers, 32 of them seated. It is fitted with ramps for people with reduced mobility. As previously reported, the trams for Yaroslavl may have Cognitive Tram Pilot computer vision, but there is no information on its use in the delivered trams.
