Poland: Since late March, the three-section Moderus Gamma LF12AC BD has been operating in the city. Szczecin has already taken delivery of eight such LRVs from the local manufacturer. The remaining four vehicles are due to arrive by the end of May.
The 32 m low-floor tram has a reported capacity of 240 passengers, with 46 seated. It is fitted with four pivoting bogies and batteries, providing a range of 100 m. There are four double and two single doors on each side, which are equipped with sensitive edges to prevent passengers from being caught. The interior also features two dedicated spaces for people with reduced mobility.
The contract for the delivery of four trams and one tram track repair machine was signed with the operator Tramwaje Szczecińskie at the end of 2024, with an additional eight LRVs ordered later. The cost per tram is PLN 12 mln (€2.8 mln). In the future, Tramwaje Szczecińskie plans to procure another eight bi-directional LRVs, which would bring the number of low-floor trams in its fleet to 26.
