Latest urban rail transport procurements from Stadler, CAF and Modertrans as well as for Dubai, Pyatigorsk and St. Petersburg.

?? The Hague tram operator HTM has exercised an option for six Stadler TINA trams, bringing the total number of three-car low-floor vehicles ordered from 2022 to 62. The first of these trams are due to be delivered in 2025 and put into service in 2026.

??  CAF is stepping up its tram supplies to Italy. A new contract has been signed with the Bologna City Council for up to 60 trams are designed for the new tramway network project currently under construction. The firm part includes 33 vehicles worth €130 mln, or €3.9 mln per unit. The five-car Urbos vehicles are equipped with a system enabling catenary-free unit operation. Another Italian contract is for 20 similar trams, worth €8 mln, or €4m each, to be delivered to Rome as part of an option to the 2023 contract for 40 vehicles.

??  A consortium of CAF has offered the lowest price for the contract to design and build Dubai Metro’s Blue Line. At 6% lower, the AED 22.3 bln ($6 bln) proposal outbid those from consortia comprising Alstom, CRRC, Hitachi Rail and Hyundai Rotem. The draft contract includes the supply of 28 unmanned trains, signalling, power and communication systems and the construction of a partially underground line with 14 stations and depots.
