Contracts and deals in the LRV market.
Poland — Pesa and Moderntrans have been ordered 50 low-floor trams by Tramwaje Śląskie. The manufacturers have signed two contracts totalling PLN 777 mln (€185.9 mln). By mid-2027, Pesa is to deliver 40 three-car vehicles, including 10 bi-directional trams, and Modertrans is to deliver 10 bi-directional trams.

Uzbekistan — The Tashkent metro received 11 four-car Moskva train last year, according to its press service. A similar batch was delivered the year before and nine more trains, or 36 cars, are to be delivered in the beginning of this year.

Germany — Berlin’s transport operator BVG has placed a further order with Alstom for 45 nine-car Urbanliner Flexity trams. Presented at InnoTrans 2024, the 50.9 m long vehiche is Alstom’s longest tram. A framework agreement between BGV and Bombardier Transportation, acquired by Alstom in 2021, provides for the delivery of 117 trams, worth €571 mln.

Germany — The Hannover public transport operator ÜSTRA has received around €16 mln for the purchase of 17 CAF trams. These will be two-car TW 4000 high-floor trams to be added to the fleet of 42 TW 4000s ordered in 2022. The first tram from the current order is expected in autumn 2026.
Russia — A total of 111 trams and 10 metro trains were supplied to St Petersburg in 2024, which orders more trams than any other city in the country. The vehicles are supplied by PK Transport Systems, UKCP, and Uraltransmash. The eight-car Baltiets metro trains were supplied by TMH under the 2022 contract.
