?? The Tashkent Metro is to receive 104 metro cars in 2024–2025, according to the press service for the country’s Ministry of Transport. Previously, the Moscow region’s governor, Andrey Vorobiev said that a contract had been negotiated to supply 60 metro cars by the TMH plant in Mytishchi to Tashkent. This year, the plant has executed the 2022 contract, having delivered three 81-765.5/766.5/767.5 Moscow trains. In addition, the transphoto site says Tashkent receives 81-714U metro trains, refurbished at the Tashkent plant for the construction and repair of passenger wagons.
?? BEML offered the lowest price for delivery of 210 cars for the second phase of Chennai’s metro construction. The tender implies the supply of 70 three-car trainsets for Lines 3 and 5 and their 15-year maintenance. The purchase, relaunched by CMRL in July 2023, also sees Titagarh Rail System among its participators.

?? TMH and Sberbank Leasing will supply 4 five-car metro trains to Novosibirsk, the city’s mayor, Maxim Kudryavtsev, was cited by the Novaya Sibir newspaper as saying. The purchases were announced in September. The first tender implied the delivery of one trainset at Novosibirsk’s own expense with an initial price of RUB 864 mln, or RUB 173 mln per car ($8.9 mln and $1.8 mln, respectively). The second tender envisaged the leasing of three trains worth RUB 4.39 bln ($45.7 mln). The first purchase saw no price reduction, whereas the second one became less expensive by 7%. It is the 81-725/726/727 Baltiets train or their equivalent are expected to be delivered from October 2025 to the end of March 2026.
?? Pavlodar announced a tender to supply 25 trams. The procurement will be financed through a KZT 8 bln ($16.5 mln) loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The tender’s sine qua non is the tram’s feasible autonomous operation of up to 20 km. In total, the city is to purchase 70 trams over the next two years.

?? The European Investment Bank has granted Kyiv a €50 mln loan to buy new metro trains. This tranche is to become the first part of a €200 target loan. The rest €150 mln may be allocated following a feasibility study, which is to assess, whether new cars are needed to be procured against the overhaul of existing ones. In 2021, a €79.2 loan to purchase 10 five-car metro trains for Kyiv was granted by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The tender was won by the Kryukiv Railway Car Building Works, however the Kyiv Metro refused to sign a contract. Thereafter, the procurement hasn’t been announced.
