Ukraine: Dnipro has introduced its first low-floor three-section K1T306 tram into passenger service.
The vehicle began operations on one of the city’s routes on 26 February. Dnipro expects delivery of four more such trams, with tracks repaired and supporting infrastructure prepared accordingly.

The 26.9 m-long tram accommodates 254 passengers, including 67 seats. Equipped with three bogies, it reaches a top speed of 75 km/h—limited to 45 km/h in service—with four asynchronous motors delivering 420 kW total power. Onboard batteries enable up to 3 km of autonomous operation.
Tatra-Yug secured a €8.5 mln contract in February 2025 for five K1T306 trams (€1.7 mln per unit), financed by an EIB loan. Produced at the company’s Dnipro plant with 70% localisation, the fleet supports urban rail upgrades.
