Germany: A fleet of four three-section ForCity Plus 48T trams has entered passenger service in the German city. Operator VBBr expects to receive the remaining four units ordered by 2028.
Each almost 30 m-long tram can accommodate up to 168 passengers, with seating provided for 51 passengers and an additional five folding seats available. The vehicles have an operational speed of 60 km/h and run on two pivoting bogies at each end and a fixed central bogie, powered by four 100 kW traction motors. Approximately 70% of the floor area is low-floor, ensuring accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility, and each vehicle costs around €2.6 mln.

The delivery forms part of a 2021 joint framework agreement for 45 trams, signed with the German cities of Brandenburg an der Havel, Frankfurt (Oder) and Cottbus. The first vehicles for the latter two cities entered service earlier this year. The order was based on the standardised ForCity Plus FCB platform, adapted slightly to the requirements of each operator.
