Russia: The fleet of nine low-floor single-car 71-911EM Lvyonok trams has commenced passenger service on a route in the city in the south of Russia.
The service operates with 5–8 minute intervals on weekdays. One additional tram is available for use as a reserve. All vehicles have undergone testing and have been accepted for service. Following this, a 50 km trial run was conducted.
The contract signed in August 2023 with the local LRV operator provides for the delivery of 50 Lvyonok and 12 three-car 71-932 Nevsky trams. A total of 38 vehicles have been allocated for the Volgograd Metrotram, a surface-subway tram network, with four of them now undergoing trial runs in multiple. The remaining trams will be deployed on other routes. The contract received state support in the amount of RUB 4.6 bln ($53.9 mln).

The 71-911EM is designed to accommodate up to 155 passengers and features 40 seats. The vehicle has four doors, one of which is equipped with a ramp for use by passengers with limited mobility.
