Colombia: The first six-car train is being tested on a track at the company’s plant in Changchun.
With the static testing being completed, it is expected to travel 2,500 km under simulated full load before being delivered to the Colombian capital in September. The 134-m-long driverless GoA4 train can carry up to 1,800 passengers, 252 of them seated, at a maximum speed of 80 km/h.

The trains are built under a contract won by a consortium of Chinese companies in 2019. The contract requires them to build and operate the first line of the Metro Bogota, due to open in 2028, and to supply 30 trains and related equipment worth $990 mln. A tender is now being prepared for the purchase of 25 similar trains for the second line.
By 2027, Bogota expects the construction of RegioTram, a commuter line, to be completed. CRRC will supply 18 trains for the line, and has already built the prototype in 2022.
