China: The shunting and rescue vehicle for metro tunnels made its debut at the International Metro Transit Exhibition & Forum, Beijing-Nanjing.
The small locomotive is reportedly fitted with two independent battery packs and traction drive systems that can operate either separately or simultaneously. Lithium-iron-phosphate batteries of 800 kW⋅h provide a range of up to 120 km/h, while liquid-cooled permanent magnet synchronous motors are capable of hauling trains weighing up to 220 t at slopes up to 50‰ at a minimum speed of 10 km/h.

The regenerative braking system, according to CRRC, allowing for increase in the operation range and reduction in the wear of brake pads. Other key features include a fire alarm and automatic fire extinguishing system.
