China: The four-car train, which has reportedly been in development for two years, will be operated on Line 6 spanning 9.8 km and including seven stations.
The train is constructed with an aluminium car body, while the driver’s desk is made of carbon fibre. With a maximum speed of 80 km/h, it can accommodate 826 passengers.
Its GoA4 equipment includes 50 automated functions, inter alia, automatic start and departure from the depot. Its bogies are equipped with a wheelset and infrastructure fault monitoring system comprising shock, vibration and temperature sensors. The train also features an obstacle detection system and a rolling stock derailment monitoring system.
The electric braking technology employed on the train enables the driver to exercise superior control over the braking and to perform stops in a more seamless manner than would be possible with an electropneumatic brake, according to CRRC.
