Brazil: The four-car trainset has commenced passenger service in test mode on a section of Line 2.
The vehicle covers the 1.6 km distance with two stations in three minutes. By the end of the year, an initial fleet of 10 such trains is expected to serve the route, while the entire 10.5 km line with seven stations is scheduled for launch in 2028.

The rolling stock is reported to be fitted with the automatic train operation technology, allowing for automated stopping and departure at stations along with opening and closing the doors. In addition, the train incorporates real-time monitoring of electrical components, passenger counting and energy recovery systems. There are two air-conditioning units installed in each car to provide automatic control of air quality.

In June 2024, the manufacturer received a contract for 24 such trains for Belo Horizonte’s two metro lines with a gauge of 1,600 mm. The rolling stock investment exceeded BRL 700 mln ($127.7 mln). The trains are produced at CRRC’s Changchun plant. Meanwhile, a new signalling system and the Operational Control Centre for the two lines were ordered from Alstom.
