Italy: The four-car Metropolis train is delivered to the Collegno depot from the French plant in Petite-Forêt. The walk-through LRV is composed of 96% recyclable materials. Each car has a dedicated space for passengers with reduced mobility.

The €156 mln contract to supply four rubber-tyred trains was inked with Turin’s infrastructure operator, Infra. To, in 2022. The deal also includes implementing the fully automatic CBTC signalling system across the single metro line to enable driverless operation. The final deliveries are scheduled by year-end.

Recently, the City of Turin has submitted a funding request to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport for an additional € 150 mln to procure 12 more trains. Exercising of this option is provided by the contract.
