Russia: The head of the the city operator Gorelectrotrans, Denis Minkin, has announced the preliminary results of the use of Cognitive Tram Pilot at the round table in the Russian State Duma.

Since 2022, the system was deployed at 260 new trams in St-Petersburg. This year, there were 3.7 mln cases when it interfered with the control of tram speed, 1,400 cases of reaction to traffic lights and 3,100 cases of reaction to obstacles such as people, trams and motor cars.

According to Mr. Minkin, the statistics for trams without the system include nine cases of trams derailing and 27 of passengers falling, while no accidents of this kind have been recorded for trams equipped with Cognitive Tram Pilot.

In a professional competition held in June this year, the system overcame tram drivers in speed control and smooth running.
