Italy, Saudi Arabia: The Colmar SL230D machines will be performing shunting operations in Al Jubail. The Saudi Arabian national operator SAR has ordered nine such vehicles being produced at the manufacturer’s facility in Fano, Italy.

The Colmar SL230D is the most powerful shunter in SRT’s portfolio. The vehicle features a traction force of 230 kN and a 440 kW diesel engine, which allows for hauling a trainset of 4,600 t at a maximum speed of 31 km/h.

At the beginning of the year, SRT finalised the acquisition of Colmar Technik, an Italian company. SRT’s portfolio has been thus enriched with battery and diesel traction equipment with traction forces varying from 16 to 230 kN, excavators, loaders, cranes, and all kinds of mounted attachments for these machines. The company’s latest deliveries include three electric shunters (the SL16RC, the SL32E, and the SL50E) for the South Korean operator Korail, and also three SL90D diesel shunters for the Tren Maya tourist line in Mexico.
