Poland: The national passenger operator has presented a comprehensive list of all existing contracts with national manufacturers.
1. Newag. This manufacturer is a counterpart expected to deliver the largest number of vehicles, worth PLN 7.7 bln (€1.8 bln). The company implements contracts to supply 78 multi-system and 66 single-system electric locomotives, and 35 hybrid trains.
2. FPS. This year, the manufacturer concluded an agreement with PKP Intercity to supply 300 passenger coaches. In addition, the company fulfils an order to refurbish 172 coaches. Both orders account for PLN 5.4 bln (€1.3 bln).
3. Pesa. The PLN 1 bln (€234 mln) contracts include the delivery of 16 hybrid locomotives and overhaul of 67 passenger cars.
4. Remtrak (part of PKP Intercity). In November, the company received two orders totalling PLN 2.5 bln (€585 mln), which envisage the refurbishment of 255 passenger cars.
