Spain: First testing of Talgo's Vittal-One hydrogen train is scheduled for this summer. Meanwhile trials of its TPH2 hybrid locomotive and CAF’s train Civia 463, which started last year, are under way.

France: The company plans to build a generator tender producing electricity from high-power hydrogen fuel cells by 2025.
Russia: The investment plan of the national railway operator was agreed by the government at the meeting on November 10 and approved by the RZD’s Board of Directors on November 24. Its total volume should amount to $18 bln.
USA: Wabtec together with scientific laboratories and the Convergent Science company will work to create a control system for the engine that is to burn a hydrogen-diesel mixture.
Kazakhstan: The locomotive was designed for the 1520 mm gauge market by Wabtec. The certificate for its serial production was obtained at the end of 2021, and more than 10 such vehicles have already been produced.
Namibia: This is the first such project in Africa. Its first stage includes the conversion of two GE diesel locomotives of TransNamib’s fleet to dual-fuel combustion of diesel and hydrogen.
