The freight operator SBB Cargo and Stadler have signed a framework agreement for the supply of 129 multi-system electric locomotives from 2027. The firm part comprises 35 four-axle locomotives with an output of 7 MW. Of the total number to be supplied, 22 electric locomotives will be equipped with 500 kW diesel engines or two traction batteries of up to 2 MW.

Siemens Mobility will supply 63 Vectron MS multi-system locomotives to three European companies. RS Lease of Slovakia will receive 30 vehicles, with an option to purchase an additional 35. Beacon Rail of the UK will be supplied 25 locomotives for operation in mainland Europe. Up to 50 electric locomotives will be delivered to Green Mobility Partners, Austria, with a firm part of eight vehicles.

Plasser & Theurer has received a preliminary confirmation for the supply of 15 CatenaryCrafter 15.4 E3s, under an agreement with the national infrastructure company DB InfraGO. These catenary construction and maintenance vehicles are scheduled to enter service in 2029.
THM has completed the delivery of the Ivolga 3.0 and Ivolga 4.0 to Moscow Central Diameter 3. This represents a complete renewal of the rolling stock on the line. As Ivan Konev, general director of the Central Exurban Passenger Company, told the TASS information agency, the total number of the Ivolga EMUs in operation on all four Central Diameters is 70 vehicles of different modifications. The producer and Moscow Metro inked a contract for 35 eleven-car Ivolga of the latest modifications in 2022, while the Central Exurban Passenger Company leased two trains from the State Transport Leasing Company.

Sinara – Transport Machines delivers large consignments of track machines to Kazakhstan. Four UK 25/25 track cranes and eight MPK motorised flatcars were put in service this September. Three ELB-4 ballast vibrators of new modification will be delivered in May 2025. “This will be a new machine made of domestic components”, said Anton Zubikhin, CEO of the STM Trading House.
