Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan: ADY, the Azerbaijani operator, has announced that the shunting locomotive has been delivered to the country.
The vehicle was overhauled, according to the operator, after 22 years of operation, and has already been put into service at a depot in the town of Bilajary. Under the contract, ADY expects to receive 11 upgraded locomotives, six of which have already been delivered to Kamkor Locomotive’s facilities. Today, the ADY fleet consists of 84 shunting locomotives.
This year, ADY plans to have upgraded four two-section locomotives by an unnamed service provider from Latvia.
Kamkor Locomotive specialises in the maintenance, overhaul, and repair of 18 types of locomotive-hauled rolling stock, multiple units, and components. The company has 13 branches in Kazakhstan and employs over 5,000 people.
