USA: The new twin-engine locomotives have a power range of 660 to 1,360 kW, a weight of 74 to 163 t and a tractive effort of 210 to 378 kN.
The manufacturer is counting on an order from the US military, which has announced that it is looking for a replacement for shunting locomotives built in the 1950s. A diesel locomotive has already been built for the Navy and is awaiting certification.

According to Integral dx, the new locomotives are powered by with Caterpillar C-series engines that meet Tier 4 environmental standards and can run in multiple. The running gear uses remanufactured bogies and traction motors from EMD diesel locomotives built between 1950 and 1970. The vehicles can reportedly be customised, including changing the layout of the cab and control panel.
