Germany: The eighth D75 BB locomotive was accepted at Gmeinder’s plant in Mosbach.

Soon, the vehicle will be delivered to Logistik Service, part of the voestalpine steel group, Austria. Gmeinder plans to hand over two more similar diesel locomotives to Logistik Service by the end of 2025.

The four-axle D75 BB is supplied with 708 kW and 950 kW engines. The starting tractive effort is 295 kN. It is reported that the 12.4 m long locomotive can travel curves with a minimum radius of 40 m. The maximum speed is 40 km/h, radio control is possible.

Gmeinder was founded in 1913 and initially, focused on small locomotives. In 2013, it was acquired by Zagro, the German rolling stock manufacturer, which exhibited railcar movers at InnoTrans 2024. Gmeinder’s facilities are situated in Mosbach and Neckarbischofsheim.
