Russia: The manufacturer has revealed these plans in the issuer’s semi-annual report.
“The Issuer’s 2024 backlog of orders for shunting diesel locomotives includes 70 vehicles to be supplied to Russian and foreign customers”, says the report.
The announced plan is almost 43% higher in comparison with the results of 2023, when Sinara–Transport Machines, STM, produced 49 shunting locomotives (in 2022, 47 such vehicles were delivered). While in the first half of 2024 STM’s customers received 22 shunters (the number corresponds to the same period of 2023), the main deliveries are expected in the second half of the year.
The TEM9 and TEM14 shunting locomotives are currently prevalent in STM’s portfolio. Besides, the TGMK2, small two-axle diesel locomotives, have been put into serial production, as far as last year, Atomspetstrans, Rosatom’s subsidiary, announced its intention to buy these shunters. Further, in February, the manufacturer has resumed the TR EAEU 001/2011 certificate for serial production of the TEM10 locomotives.
