Switzerland: The leasing company has designed the Fanps 2.0 wagon which is intended for ballast transportation and can be operated remotely.
With a cubic capacity of 60 m3 and a payload of 68 t, the new vehicle is equipped with 22.5 tf bogies.
The wagon’s body is divided into three outlet sections discharged with the help of six hatches. The unloading process is performed by means of six special cylinders having three different discharge positions to enable proportional distribution of ballast inside and outside the track. The positions of the unloading cylinders are adjusted fully by radio control.

According to Wascosa, soundproofing of the cylinders ensures lower noise levels during unloading operations. In addition, 14 LEDs allow for 360° lighting around and between the wagons. The hoppers are also fitted with safety sensors and an anti-dust spray system to reduce dust emissions.
