Switzerland: The first DB5 (Laadrs) wagons have entered service on the European rail network.
According to the Swiss leasing company, the newly built autorack is distinguished by a low loading height of just 1,000 mm above the railhead level. This feature allows for the transportation of more types of automobiles, including vans and other tall vehicles.
The articulated four-axle flatcar has a payload of 51.3 t and an axle load of 20 tf, while its tare weight is 28.7 t and the length over buffers is 32.2 m. With a loading length of 30.9 m, the flatcar enables the transportation of up to six vehicles simultaneously.

Loading and unloading do not require additional lifting equipment. The DB5 is fitted with fixed railings to enhance the safety of operations.
The manufacturer of the rolling stock has not been unveiled (UPD 29/06/2026: In response to the publication, Türkiye’s Gök Rail clarified that it is the manufacturer of these wagons). Meanwhile, the Laadrs flatcar from Greenbrier Europe has the same specifications.
