Germany: The major European freight car producer displayed the vehicle at the Transport Logistic in Munich.
It is designed to transport mostly 12-, 20-, 30- and 40-foot containers and swap bodies as well as removable modular hoppers Grainbox and containers that extend beneath the standard container loading level.
The eight-axle TVP BOX Carrier has a tare weight of 30.8 t and payload of 149.2 t with an axle load of 22.5 tf. Its detachable twist locks allow for transportation of steel slabs, steel coils and tank containers.

According to Tatravagonka, the TVP BOX Carrier is adapted to the DAC digital coupling technology promoted in the EU, although in its basic configuration, it has a screw coupling.
