Germany: The manufacturer equipped Ermewa’s railcar for palletised goods, which was exhibited at the Transport Logistic fair in Munich.
The generator, paired with Slovenian Realtronik’s battery, mounted on the bogie, powers a foldable tarpaulin roof by French Innovaction Technologies.

The generator is integrated into the axlebox bearing housing. Its permanent magnet rotor is attached to the front side of the wheelset shaft, and the wear-free stator is integrated into the housing cover. The generator charges the battery while in motion.

There are two power ranges available, a low-power version up to 50 W and a high-power version from 100 W, which provides sufficient energy for the automatic opening and closing of doors and the tarpaulin. Ermewa plans to use the generator not just for tarpaulin operations but also to power telematic sensors.
