Russia, China: A contract was signed last year for the development and production of a prototype and the start of serial production.
The rolling stock is planned to be used to transport light motor vehicles between China and Russia and the Central Asian regions.
The car will be an eight-axle vehicle, so two cars will be connected by a rigid coupling. No further details have been announced. The car builder notes that the prototype will be presented to the customer in May.
RM Rail has also released an eight-axle Nakhodka 15-1271 tank car for a future order from the Federal Freight Company, a subsidiary of Russian Railways. The car has already been accepted and is expected to be certified in the second half of 2024. Maxim Tevs, CEO of RM Rail, previously spoke to ROLLINGSTOCK about the company’s plans to expand its range of highly specialised rolling stock.
