The local operator KTMB will purchase 62 trains from CRRC. According to the country’s Transport Minister Anthony Lock, 36 three-car and 12 six-car EMUs as well as 14 six-car DMUs are to be supplied on lease in 2024–2027. The manufacturer is also supposed to ensure their maintenance and repair for 30 years, while the total value of the deal is estimated at $2.5 bln. Assembly will take place at CRRC’s plant in Batu Gajah, Malaysia. To date, the country has bought 68 trains from CRRC, with the delivery of the last expected in 2025.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, MBTA, has ordered 41 double-deck coaches from Hyundai Rotem. According to IRJ magazine, the purchase is estimated at $168 mln. The deal is an option to the 2019 contract, under which 80 units were initially ordered. Further, an option for three coaches was exercised, with a total value of the procurement reaching $305 mln. MBTA has received 76 coaches, with 64 of them already put into operation.
The armed forces of both countries together with the Norwegian rail agency Bane NOR have agreed to acquire up to 120 flatcars. The three parties are said to be able to purchase single-standard cars under one contract. According to the current contract, the flatcars will be used to transport military and civilian goods. Following the pilot order of ten flatcars for Bane NOR, a further contract will be signed within a year for the supply of the remaining vehicles.

RM Rail supplied 30 tank cars of 15-1226 series to the Belarusian oil refinery Naftan. The vehicles, designed to transport sulphuric acid, are currently undergoing an acceptance and documentation process.
